Matt is a domestic and cross-border corporate, commercial and finance lawyer, with particular industry specialism in television, technology, energy/oil & gas and newspaper/magazine publishing. Matt has acted for a wide variety of clients from start-ups to large listed companies on acquisitions, disposals, mergers, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and commercial contracts. Prior to joining SM&B, Matt worked for many years in the City for a major English firm. He has also worked for a US law firm and spent two years in the communications, media & technology department of New Zealand’s largest law firm.
