James joined SM&B in 2004 from another well known media and music firm. He originally trained and qualified at a major city firm, working in corporate and commercial law.

A specialist in a wide range of media and corporate disciplines, the bulk of James' work is for film and television financiers and producers, broadcasters, and music publishers.

He also advises on joint ventures, acquisitions and other corporate and commercial transactions in the media sector.
