Maninder Gill joins SM&B

Maninder Gill has joined us as a partner. He specialises in intellectual property (IP), licensing and franchising, particularly in the retail market.
Maninder has achieved enormous success in his career to date. He joins us from Harvey Nichols Group, where he was the first head of legal of the luxury department store operator. He trained and worked at Carter Ruck and subsequently was legal director of publishing and broadcasting company Northern & Shell, which counts Express newspapers and OK! magazine among its titles.
Maninder brings immense experience and skills to SM&B on his return to private practice. As well as heading up the IP team and franchising work, he will work closely with our Property team (particularly in retail related matters), as well as our Dispute Resolution and Litigation and Libel, Privacy and Reputation teams.
